HD200 Bailey Bridge
BAILEY
Q345B-Q460C

Beret plates are generally composed of upper and lower chord members, vertical members, and diagonal members welded together. There are male and female joints above the upper and lower chord members, and there are pin holes for connecting the pestle frame on the joints. The chord of the Beret piece is composed of two No. 10 channel steels. Multiple steel plates with circular holes are often welded to the lower chord, and bolt holes are provided in the upper and lower chords to strengthen the connection between the chord and the double-layer truss. Inside the upper chord, there are four bolt holes for connecting the support frame. The middle two holes are used for connecting double or multiple rows of trusses at the same section, and the two holes at both ends are used for inter section connection. When using multiple rows of beret pieces as beams or columns, it is necessary to reinforce the joint between the upper and lower beret pieces with a support frame.
On the lower chord, there are 4 crossbeam pads with tenons above them to fix the position of the crossbeam on the plane. There are also two elliptical holes on the end channel steel web of the lower chord for connecting wind resistant tension rods. The vertical poles of the Beilei piece are made of 8 # I-beam, and there is a square hole on the side of the lower chord of the vertical pole, which is used for fixing the crossbeam with the crossbeam fixture. The material of the Bailey piece is 16Mn, and each piece weighs 270kg.
1. Check the bridge deck for damage, defects, and deformation, and replace it if necessary.
2. Observe whether the various pins, bolts, crossbeam fixtures, and wind resistant rods of the Bailey plate are assembled, whether there is any human damage, and whether there is any looseness to ensure stable passage.
3. Check whether the bridge deck is cracked, deformed or uneven, and replace it if necessary.
4. Measure the mid span deflection of the bridge and see if it will increase. The rate of increase in deflection should be proportional to the wear of the pins and pin holes.
5. Regularly inspect whether there is uneven settlement in the foundation of the Bailey steel bridge, and adjust it promptly if found.
6. Apply grease around the pin to prevent rainwater from entering the gap of the pin hole, and all exposed threads of the bolts should also be coated with grease to prevent rusting. Beilei film is widely used in transportation engineering. Beilei tablets have the characteristics of simple structure, convenient transportation, large load capacity, good interchangeability, and strong adaptability.
7. During maintenance, engineers should carefully inspect all components of the steel bridge to ensure that there is no paint peeling, rust, or deformation in any part. For corroded areas, workers are strictly required to clean the dust, oil stains, rust spots, and various dirt first, and then spray paint evenly and smoothly. If any parts are found to be deformed, they should be replaced uniformly to ensure the stable use of the steel bridge.
