BAILEY
The dam of the Nepal Sinohydro Bureau 7 Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Station is approximately 223 km from Kathmandu. It is approx 163 km from Kathmandu to Besisahar town, basically asphalt pavement, two-way, 2-lane. From Besisahar town to the Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower Station Dam is approx 60 km, which is the Annapurna Circuit tourism road, serving as the project access road. It is mainly gravel pavement, with some sections being concrete pavement, and must bear the transportation tasks for equipment, materials, etc., required by the Manang Marsyangdi project.
The Bailey Bridge is located approximately 150m downstream of Construction Adit 1#, spanning the Manang Marsyangdi River. The right bank connects to Road 2-1#, and the left bank connects to Road 3-1#. This bridge is the main route for transporting hydropower station equipment and materials and will undertake the traffic support work throughout the entire construction process of the hydropower station.
The Bailey Bridge is Type 200,a single span with a full length of 30.48m, and is a standard Double-Row, Single-Story, Reinforcedsteel truss bridge. It arrived on-site in October 2024. Due to being in the mountainous region of Nepal, large-scale equipmentcould not access the site. The steel bridge construction had to overcome limitations of construction length, meticulouslydesigning the construction and counterweight plan. Finally, through everyone's concerted cooperation, the steel bridge erectionwas completed within 7 days, allowing the access traffic to open smoothly ahead of schedule, creating a very good situation forthe next phase of the hydropower station's project construction.
