A classic project in Lithuania, this is the reconstruction of a bridge with a long history. During the project's reconstruction period, to ensure the passage of local traffic and construction vehicles, we provided a 39.624-meter-long CB200 model (domestically known as Type 200) Bailey bridge as a temporary access route.
Project Overview:
Bridge Solution: 39.624-meter Triple-Truss Single-Row Reinforced (TSR), meeting high-strength and load-bearing requirements.
Technical Parameters: Net carriageway width of 5.25 meters, design load of 40 tons, capable of accommodating some large construction vehicles.
High-Quality Materials: The main structure is made of Q355B high-strength steel, and the accessories are made of Q235B.
Surface Treatment: Overall hot-dip galvanizing to cope with local climate conditions.
With the detailed and professional erection plan we provided, the bridge was installed in about 10 days and is now open to traffic, providing solid transportation support for the entire reconstruction project.
Features of the CB200 (Type 200) Bailey Bridge: This is an internationally common, standardized, and modular steel bridge. Its main advantages are: lightweight components, convenient transportation, rapid connection via pins, and extremely fast installation. Through different component combinations (such as the triple-truss single-row reinforced in this project), it can flexibly match different span and load requirements. The use of Q355B steel for the main material ensures higher load-bearing capacity and safety.
Project Site Environment and Advantages of Hot-Dip Galvanizing:
Lithuania has a temperate continental climate, with long, cold, and humid winters with a lot of snow. This environment is highly corrosive to steel structures. The hot-dip galvanizing process we used provided a thick, uniform, and dense protective layer for all bridge components, with the following core advantages:
Superior Corrosion Resistance: It can effectively resist erosion from rain, snow, and humid air, greatly extending the bridge's service life.
Maintenance-Free: The galvanized layer is very durable and requires almost no maintenance during the entire temporary use period, reducing project costs.
High Reliability: Even if the surface is slightly scratched, the zinc layer will provide electrochemical protection to the steel substrate, preventing the spread of rust.
